Support Feed the Pack and help us tackle hunger at NC State

For the fourth straight year, the Wolfpack and the Tar Heels will square off in the Pantry Bowl, an annual competition to raise money for Feed the Pack Food Pantry and the Carolina Food Pantry Network. Over the years Feed the Pack has seen the impact of thousands of small gifts add up: A $10 gift can purchase one case of mac and cheese; a $15 gift can purchase one case of laundry detergent; and a $25 gift can purchase 30 bags of spinach. Carolina and NC State Are Coming Together to Fight Food Insecurity

The Pantry Bowl is back, and Carolina and NC State are teaming up to fight food insecurity. By working together, Carolina and NC State can support their students and provide essential resources for this important issue. But, we need your help to make an impact! Last year, you helped us by making more than 2,600 gifts, raising nearly $200,000. This year, we are hoping to raise even more (and end NC State’s winning streak) for the Carolina Food Pantry Network. It takes everyone coming together to ensure our students have access to the nutritious food they need to succeed. Help Carolina win this year’s Pantry Bowl and join us to fight food insecurity on campus.

The Pantry Bowl is an annual fundraising initiative that unites two passionate fan bases — the Wolfpack and the Tar Heels — to bring awareness to the issue of food insecurity, which affects as many as 1 in 5 people on college campuses. Gifts will support each university’s food pantry, Feed the Pack and Carolina Food Pantry Network. Last year’s Pantry Bowl raised $199,289 from 2,648 gifts — nearly double the dollars and gifts of the competition’s first year!

Visit this page Nov. 24-Dec. 1 and choose the button for the university food pantry you wish to support. You will be directed to that university’s giving form, and your gift will be processed like any other gift made to NC State or Carolina. The minimum amount for a gift is $5.

The Pack Essentials Fund benefits the pantry and other vital resources that help students meet their basic needs. You can learn more about Pack Essentials at NC State here. 

The Carolina Food Pantry Network funds six pantry locations across campus and serves Carolina students facing food insecurity. Not only does the fund provide nutritious meals, but also other items such as personal care and hygiene products.
